One Step Closer

It was Valentines Day a few days back, and I must admit, sa likod ng cool at kalma lang na pa-epek, napapabuntunghininga din ako. Whew! Single pa din ako this year.

Recently, I met someone who made me experience brand new feelings, but something was not right. Mind over heart - I chose to have the best intentions, to impact this person's life in a good way. Napilitan lang ako kaya I would beat myself up everyday with this choice. Kagabi when I went out with friends, tinukso nila ako sa mga single guys and sumakay lang kami like good friends and mature people. But I realized that these guys, are really good guys. They can treat a girl right, and they deserve to be loved and respected. And I thought, you know I can use this to make me feel good, but I sincerely felt that I want them to be happy. It may not be me, but it's okay. I just secretly wish that they find that girl who would take care of them. And I realized, not necessarily in a romantic context, but I care about these friends of mine. I now understand first hand what it means to have the best intentions for someone. :)

Aside from Franco's Seasons, I discovered this other waiting song.

I have died everyday waiting for you. Ouch. Haha.

TAMA NA. SOBRAAANG CHEEEESY NA! HAHA.

Love is defined by wanting God's best for someone else regardless of what that means to you.
Love is about "us" as a people, not "you" as a person. Christ exemplified this love when He pushed aside His own personal desires and safety and died on the cross for us. - Jason Illian, Undressed
