My Love - Sara Bareilles

It would be nice to look back at this post one day when this season is over.

I won't need answers, I'll just know
Cause I've read the sonnets about his soul
He can be ordinary in the best ways
And still dance like a poet
Through every word he says

My love, my love is on his way
I'm waiting patiently
But if you see me now
My love, please hurry

Malamig na Pasko. Chill na New Year.

You know how Christmas is about mixed emotions and can either be heaven or hell? Yeah, yeah, it's about the birth of Jesus and should not be about us, narinig ko na 'yan you preachy church people! Haha. But really, kung aaminin natin, sometimes it can magnify our feelings. You'd be happier if you're already happy, and you can be suicidal if your sad and lonely. My point is, this year, I did not have all that. Haha. Yun naman pala eh, tapos ang kwento.

December 23 was a Sunday, the 24th was a Monday and VCF Galleria was having a Christmas service that day. I should not really go to that because I just went to church the previous day right? But no...I wanted to go. I had to be there so I went. It was more of a family thing and I was there alone though Ate was just strolling around the mall while waiting for me. Being alone did not bother me, though I did hope that Ate was there to have experienced that beautiful church service. Of course, things could have been better. But no, it wasn't a sad Christmas altogether. I just have this unexplainable secured feeling deep inside. Chill lang. Sometimes I even wonder it's something to be worried about.

Kahit nung New Year. I was glued to Youtube and Facebook few minutes before 12, I even had to scold myself to go out of the house and experience the "salubong". Sure I'm excited about it and I look forward to what's in store for me this year, but I was not really into it unlike before. And though there were moments I got bothered by this kind of response, I realized  it's actually good. I wasn't anxious about the things to improve and all the expectations because I already know what they are. I got it in me. I know what I want, I know where I want to go. It must mean that I have found myself.

A Facebook friend posted that for this year, his New Year's resolution is gonna be to fix his relationship with Jesus. Ganun na din ang sa 'kin. Hehe. Because what else can I think about? What better thing than that can I come up with? In the beginning of 2012, I was actually very hopeful, I think I even shed a tear when it hit midnight. But I took this year trying to be happy on my own terms, and that did not really do it. After all the things that I did and the realizations that followed, I am now saying this - I have come to the end of myself. Okay, I won't blame anyone for laughing at that. Big words, kahit ako natatawa. Haha. But really, switching back to serious mode now, I meant that. I've searched through my innermost being, to the bottom of my heart, and I have resolved that the thing in my life that makes most sense and made me the most satisfied is the Lord Jesus in my life.

Now I got to say medyo nagpawis ang mata ko sa last paragraph na yun. Hehe. But no, I'm cool. I'm chill.

This song is "Better Days" by the Goo Goo Dolls. It was my song for the 2012 New Year and I am recycling it for 2013. Hehe. It says "Coz tonight's the night the world begins again". After all my mistakes last year, it's only but appropriate. I really need to begin again.

To 2013. Chairs!

Crazy December 2012

It's gonna be 2013 in just a few hours as I am writing this. To be honest, I'm cool with ending this year, I have no problem with that. Haha. I'm just that eager for a fresh new start.

December 2012 has been quick, busy and crazy. Though I've missed a Christmas party, a bridal shower, a wedding and a year end trekking, I somehow managed to celebrate the Christmas season and spend time with family and friends as much as I could.

Lord Jesus, You are the reason!

Artsy Vanity

Some of the apps na gamit na gamit ko ay ang Instagram, Little Photo at Line Camera. I just love them. These photos below were from that time I was exploring them and having a bit more fun than usual. And by that, I mean to say that yes I was being vain and a big fan of myself. How can I not? Look at these photos! I look amazing! Haha. Yun pala yun!

Angel Hair Pasta. Seafood Ramen. Carrot Cake.

You can hardly call me a foodie, bagong Android user lang na aliw na aliw pa sa mga photo apps kaya nasampolan ang mga pagkain. Hihi.

I had breakfast after shift with Gherry and Edz at Alexa's Deli in Salcedo Makati. They open as early as 7am, so if you're looking for a place to have breakfast at around Makati that is not fastfood or a coffee shop, you might want to consider this one. More than good food, the place is also cozy. It was not crowded, bagay sa mga gustong mapag-isa or sa mga may dini-date pero secret lang. Hehe. Segue way lang kasi after this we went to see A Secret Affair in Megamall. Pramis, segue way lang talaga yun. Haha.

A guy once asked me if may alam daw akong masarap kainan ng ramen. Pajoke ko siyang sinagot ng "the only ramen I know is Nissin Ramen". He didn't laugh and my joke fell flat. Kaya sabi ko sa sarili ko when I get a chance kakain talaga 'ko ng ramen na 'yan. This week after paying my bills, I passed by Rai Rai Ken and saw from their standees their ramens. I just had to satisfy my curiosity, and I'm glad I did. Hongsarap! Nachallenge lang konti ang chopstick skills ko pero keri lang. This one in the picture is their seafood ramen. I will definitely be back to try the others.

This photo below was when I was waiting at Figaro Brickroad Cainta for the the mall to open. This was when I bought my new phone. Hihi. I had the best carrot cake in my life that day. Kasi this is only carrot cake I ever tasted. Haha. Seriously though, it was very good!

There you go are my random food stories. There really are stories behind some meals and some little photos.

Getting Even with Je

Je is always our party planner, organizing some getaway or masterminding a birthday gimmick for one of us.   So for her birthday, I thought tama lang na kami naman ang magplan ng something to make her feel special like what she does for her family and friends.

I wanted to throw an "all of your friends are here" party for her, pero dahil amateur at busy din naman kaming lahat, kami-kami na lang muna. Ingat din kami sa pagpaplano. Sanay sa pakulo si ateh, one  wrong move mabubuko kami.

That night, she got served. Booyah birthday girl. Hehe.

The Sunset

Nagmidshift ako minsan for a training.
Ito ang view na hindi namin nakikitang mga panggabi.
